User Tableizer to Create Free Tables

Tags:

In the summer edition of SEJounral (Society of Environmental Journalists) they had a two page spread where they recommended inexpensive or free tools that are amazing. One of the tools was a way to turn your Excel graphs into a great chart that you can embed into your website or add into a presentation. The tool is called Tableizer. It was created by Danny Sanchez of the Orlando Sentinel. To use this tool visit Danny’s blog at tableizer.journalistopia.com .

Tableizer is extremely easy. To use it, you highlight the cells you want and click copy. Then you paste the cells into the large white box on the page. The default is to make the first row of cells that you copied into a header. If you look under the white box you will see boxes that say “header color” and “font”. Click here to adjust the header color or the font of your cells here. Then click “Tableize It!”

The HTML code to embed your table into your website is on top. Below the code you will see what your table looks like. If you want to insert this image into another document, take a screen shot and drop the screen shot into your document.

You can make as many tables as you want for free.
