In this post you are going to learn how to integrate your Facebook account with your Twitter account and how to search Twitter easily to find information that you want.

Both Facebook and Twitter are effective tools you can use to get your message out there. However, constantly logging in and updating your status is time consuming. You should not neglect one website, because it is likely that your followers vary from website to website. To solve this problem, a Facebook application was created. The application is simply called “Twitter”. If you download this application, your Twitter status will get updated at the same time as when you update your Facebook status. The application automatically does this for you.

Tweetscan is a free website that enables you to search for keywords in public posts or user profiles. This website works like a search engine for Twitter. You type in a keyword and all user public profiles and posts that contain this keyword will show up. This type of search gives you the list of the posts and profiles containing your keyword right now. Additionally, Tweetscan allows you to get updates as they occur. Therefore, starting from when you subscribe, Tweetscan will email you or update your RSS feed when people make updates that include your keyword. This will enable you to watch the conversation taking place on Twitter.

On the Tweetscan homepage you will see a word cloud. A word cloud is a visual representation of the most commonly searched words. Words that are larger are being searched more often. This will give you examples of topics that you can search for. However, I recommend trying several different keywords, even if they do not appear in the word cloud.

Twitter is continuing to increase in popularity. Since more and more people are using Twitter, more applications and integrations are becoming available. For example, these two applications will save you time and enable you to follow the conversation taking place online.
