These trainings are free online webinars for users who would like to use the media contact database. Attending a training of this type is required for media database access. Current users are welcome to attend this session as a refresher course in the basics of the system.

 

To Register:

  1. Go to the Green Media Toolshed Webex online training center at https://greenmediatoolshed.webex.com/
  2. Make sure you are in the Training section (note: not Meeting section).
  3. Select to view the list of "Upcoming Trainings."
  4. Find the training date of your preference.
  5. Click on the Register link on the right hand side of the screen.
  6. Complete the registration page.
  7. Note your attendee ID number. You will need this when signing into the training.

This one hour training will review how to:

1. run an advanced search for media contacts and outlets
2. user reporter profiles to make good pitch calls
3. create a targeted media list
4. refine your search results
5. find the best reporter at a designated assortment of outlets with the Coverage Wizard
6. send a fax and email distribution on the media database via text or HTML format

All GMT users are welcome to take also participate in the training as a refresher course where they can ask questions and learn about other features in the system.
