Today, Dogpatch Labs released a new application called WiseStamp.This new service connects with your email system to add extra, interactive information to your email signature.

Facebook Places was just launched.  It's a geo-location services that competes with FourSquare, and lets you see where your friends are as well as share your own location.

Social networks, which were once reserved only personal contact, have now exploded into so many aspects of our daily lives. Through Facebook and Twitter, companies promote their products, celebrities communicate with their fans, individuals spread the word about a cause or event and perspective employers can seek out that perfect candidate.

Last week, Facebook announced they reached 500 million members. This milestone is even more amazing considering the growth of Facebook over the last few years. The social networking site reached 100 million members just two years ago. Since February of this year, 100 million more members have joined.

In late May, Karen Uffelmen wrote a great post for Care2's Frogloop about organizations who have realized and embraced their super powers. Karen listed 4 nonprofit organizations who have mastered their super powers and all 4 are current members of Green Media Toolshed.
